Product Description
Sodium Azide is a bacteriostatic agent that has a number of microbiological and plant tissue culture. Effective against bacteria by inhibiting cytochrome oxidase, Sodium Azide is added to storage buffers to inhibit contamination. It has been observed to be an efficient pest control for many commercial crops.
Sodium Azide 10% is prepared with Ultra Pure raw material of >99% purity. A concentration of 0.02-0.1% is sufficient for preservation in biological buffers. 0.02% Sodium Azide is also recommended when using as a mutagen for plant tissue culture.
